be the lead in a musical

auditions are tomorrow (monday,) and tuesday. I think I will go tuesday… more practice time. Not eactly sure what I will sing, I was planning on singing ‘summertime’, but I am thinking that I will sing ‘you are my lucky star’ instead. Any advice for calming nerves? They would be much appreciated! :-) 3 years ago

I had a lead role in a musical once, and it was very fun. I love singing and acting. My new school only has a musical once every 4 years, so this is my (possibly) last chance to be in a musical in high school. We are doing ‘Smile.’ I think I am going to sing Summertime. I am a bit worried, because I have initial nervousness when singing in front of people… sometimes at auditions I get cold and shaky, and my voice sounds really bad. After doing it a few times on stage though I am usually better… 3 years ago

I’ve tried out and been in and been lead for musicals in the past
But never really pulled off performing in high shcool (my old school only really did pop and we had a beasting Drama club of which I never was very involved.)
Here, at my new school, I find it highly possible to get the lead (Princess) in the play When in Rome…
I’m just worried that certain…generally self righteous, individuals are, like bears, poked with a stick (me being the stick) they will be very annoyed.
But I’ll try out.
