be a psychologist

I have a masters, but due to moving from Illinois to Missouri and those states having different licensing requirements, I am not qualified to get my LPC. Since I don’t want to redo another masters program, I will move on to get a Phd.

After being in a teen psych ward in october 07’, i decided that my ambition is life is to study psychology. I’ve been through it,father being an alcoholic, mother having an eating disorder, myself being severely depressed and sucidal.

its what i am. its what i wanna become. :)

In life is to become a psychologist, either clinical or educational depending on where my studies take me.
Currently I am in the process of revising for my exams, I have just completed my first year at university :)

i want my Phd

now, this is what i would like to be at the moment….but i feel that it could change at ANY moment. but it is a goal that i am considering

well.. here we go.. final year of high school.
At this time, I have parents and councilors asking me my career goals. I’d have to say that I still want to stick with being a psychologist. Its going to be a real suicide path. Ugh. I think I might end up studying my whole life. But what do I know at this point, right?

One thing I know for sure is that I can’t do much with simply a BA in Psych.

Can you be a psychologist with just a bachelors in psychology? my psychiatrist told me you can and you just have to have all of your reports looked over by a psychiatrist…
Is she right? Can i just get a bachelors and be a psychologist? or do i have to do that whole long bachelors masters phd suicide thing??

i’m going to be one. Going to start at the University at Albany come Fall and then after 4 years go on to get my PhD. Hopefully everything works out
