get a new family picture taken

I wish I looked slimmer, but the camera doesn’t lie. Oh well, people will be happy to get it.

My hair is finally looking more normal (the horrible layers are finally growing out), and my dad has requested a picture of me, S, and E that he can use as a screensaver and put up for my mom to have in her room. (Apparently the new individual pics we gave at Christmas don’t fit the bill.) So, this will have to be arranged soon.

See my last entry regarding the plan—well, it didn’t work out. So we still need a new picture.

My sister’s wedding is in December. I’m the matron of honor, my husband is an usher, and our daughter is the flower girl. Our son will only be six months old by then. I talked to my sister today about “borrowing” her photographer for a family picture while we’re all dressed up, and she loved the idea. So, now I just have to get my son a tiny suit and we’ll be all set!

I must grow my hair out first!

I love my hairdresser, really. But we had a communication breakdown. Before vacation I told her I wanted a shorter cut that would look OK when I came out of the pool/ocean. Well, it’s short! But it does not look OK when drying unstyled; it looks awful. And I don’t much like how it looks when I do style it. Its only redeeming quality is that it didn’t whip into my face when out in the kayak or on the whale watch & seal cruise.

But now it is officially growing out. This is not the look for me!

So the family picture goal will not be accomplished anytime soon.

We did this about two weeks ago and just got the email last night with our pictures in it. OMG!! They are great!

On the wall there’s one where I have a body wave and my son has no hair and he’s so young he’s being held in a sitting position. I think there’s another around somewhere where he does have hair and sat up unaided, and my hair was blond, but I don’t know where that picture is. S. is his same handsome self in all pictures.

Anyway, it is high time to get our picture taken again. I think people would like an updated picture. I know I would (though I hate pictures of myself).
