Signs up a couple hours ago...  — 5 months ago

I already did 6 exercises just to fulfill my strength exercises for the day. Extremely motivational site even if you are just competing with yourself… either way I found I end up doing more than I would if I wasn’t tracking exercises, daily water intake (whether or not I reach my amount), etc. SparkPeople.com… highly recommend it. I am going to check this goal off after I lose my first 10 pounds. I’m 200 pounds as of yesterday morning.

get back on the health wagon  — 8 months ago

I’ve made up a diet plan for when I get back to Boston after break, that has about 1300 calories a day. It’s veggies, fruit, milk, chicken, oatmeal, and one peice of candy a day, because I got a loooot of candy things for Christmas.

I also am going to try to go to the gym afterschool every day. The difficulty with that is that it means I’ll have to actually do a lot of my reading at school, and I sort of hate being in the law library to do work because its silent, has no tea, and and is an environment of stress. Buuuut, staying at school to do my work might help my getting work done, and at the very least, I won’t have to carry as many books home.

I’m home for two weeks, then starting law school… So, one of my goals is to start it off RIGHT. This sumemr was hard, but I’m getting back on with it!

Come join our team over at sparkpeople!  — 1 year ago

There is a new team for 43things members, called Team 43T. Come and join the chat there and get more support with this goal.

I’m a sparkpeople restarter – several times now. I know the system works because I’ve lost weight with it before, but I don’t remain consistent. I think a lot depends on finding the right group of people to support you.

I also need to make more time to use all the resources there.

    Worth doing!

Well…. I reset all my goals and am now taking things slowly. I want to work on my consistency. I keep doing stuff in spurts.

I’m at the beginning again. For the next two weeks I need to
    • Drink 8 glasses of water daily
    • Give myself a 5 minute pep talk daily
    • Do 10 minutes of cardio daily

    Worth doing!

I lost the five pounds I gained over the holiday season. I have been easing back into exercise every other day. I plan to work it up to doing short sessions daily. I don’t have enough time! I vote for longer days.

    Yep!  — 1 year ago

Lost 2 pounds this week! This site is great. I have to be very focused on tracking calories/exercise in order to make it work. I’m hoping in a month’s time I will have gotten a good feeling of what I can eat.

Logged On  — 1 year ago

So, I’ve logged on and started my “Fast Break” which is basically easing into the whole healthy living and losing a little weight thing. You choose three small goals for the first two weeks—one of mine is drink 8 glasses of water a day (which also happens to be on my 43 things list). Have I done this yet? Nope. Hmmm…today I think I accounted for 2 glasses. Not sure why this is such a difficult goal. It’s a cool website though, so I’m looking forward to seeing how things go.

    Down 30 pounds  — 1 year ago

I got kind of burned out between Thanksgiving and Christmas and was wondering what could get me going again, but I have made a new commitment to my health and to improving myself and am becoming motivated again, I am happy to say! Now onto the next 30!

    Worth doing!

that I lost weight at first. But I see that simply tracking my food (and candy) intake isn’t going to cut it. I have to actually change the way I eat. Gulp.

I have to plan ahead instead of entering everything I ate at the end of the day, only to discover that I ate too much, or the wrong kinds of things.
