the place I’ve lost weight affects my bra area… so I am looking again in other places to find a good bra as I cannot shop at Lane Bryant anymore since I lost weight… I still find it embarrassing to go into Victorias Secret as I am still a size 12, sometimes 14…

I found an all cotton breathable and organic bra that is comfortable, but I only wear it to work or on special occasions. After working out and lifting weights for a year my boobs are perky all on their own and a beautiful cotton cami that is fitted (kind of like a bra) is so much more freeing. It’s like guys who wear boxers it so much better for your health.

I got a Gap gift certificate for xmas, and perusing their website I discovered that they now carry sports bras. They were having an online-only bra sale, so I ordered one. It should arrive any day now. I am very excited about it, because now that it’s warming up I’m trying to run a lot again, and could really use another sports bra.

I think I need to be fitted again. I did it years ago but I’ve gained some weight and grown a bit :)

That’s the answer to how many wears you get out of a dollar store bra before it starts to fall apart.

Dollar Store
Yes, I totally bought a bra at the Dollar Store. Okay, I admit it, I bought two (it was $2.00 for Pete’s sake). In case you were wondering, no, I didn’t go in looking for a bra. I was getting dishwashing liquid. But I saw it and the whole idea was too funny to resist. Obviously not the grail bra, but not as bad as you might think. There are a few things about the fit that I like, but (big surprise) it’s really cheesy quality wise. Obviously. We’ll see how many times it will wash before disintegrating.

my favorite bra and the ones I currently have are worn and the elastic is saggy. Finding a new great bra is a hassle, requiring more shopping than I like to do, but I have to buckle down.

Wearing a sexy bra or sexy underwear is THE confidence boost every girl needs daily. I don’t buy a bra that doesn’t make me feel like everyone wants a piece of them.
Finding the perfect (and sexy) bra is about being fitted, know what your size is, and don’t be afraid to ask a sales employee.
And never buy a bra without trying it on, you may know your size, but every bra has it’s differences.
Lastly, I’m a Victoria’s Secret girl, and a huge fan of the Very Sexy collection.

Find the perfect sports bra AND find the perfect everyday bra.
I’ve only owned 2 sports bras as an adult. One was a pretty cheap one that zipped in front. After a while it lost it’s support and the zipper kept coming undone while I was running. I got a better one for about $30 (I think). This one has cups and it hooks in back. It’s way more supportive than the other one, but tends to be tight right out of the wash and then stretches out. I think it fits better around the time of my period (when my breasts are bigger). I would like to find a sports bra that’s a little more supportive. Also, this one has velcro over the hooks and it is scratchy and uncomfortable.
I’ve owned many regular bras over the years, some better than others. I have a really hard time finding the right combination of things. I have a hard time finding bras that are supportive enough that aren’t padded and don’t make my breasts look oddly shaped. I have one right now that I mostly like, but the straps always get twisted and drive me nuts. The other major problem is that now that I’ve been wearing it for about a year the wires have started to poke through. I keep sewing up the holes, but they keep coming through again. A more minor issue is the shape of the top (where the cups meet the straps). The straps are thick and it’s a full-coverage bra, so if I wear it with a shirt that’s low cut AT ALL it shows, which I find annoying. I wish I could remember what brand it is, because the tag’s too faded to read.

i’ve ordered a bra from Jessica London. It has side wires instead of underwires. let’s see how that goes.
