Initially this goal was “build beautiful software”. I gave that some thought and realized that building beautiful software wasn’t the challenge. I’ve seen lots of software that has been elegant in concept, brilliant in design or beautifully well written. The problem was that they didn’t anything useful. It’s all to easy to fall into the trap of building things for beauty’s sake (I’ve have been guilty of this in the past). 6 years ago
