Sleeping in my own bed

This is part of a longer extended goal. It goes something like:
- get the boat in the water
- sail a bit in the pacific northwest
- truck the boat to Maine
- Sail to Belgium
Then drop the mast and enter the canal system. So it might be awhile, especially if anything like “sail to Mexico” gets introduced along the way.
The idea of having your home with you while you cruise through the old and established urban landscape of europe is amazingly seductive. It is an opportunity to not only sample new cusines, but to try my hand at preparing them. If there is a wine I like, I can buy a case and keep it in the bilge. If I meet some new friends, I can invite them over for an evening of fine food and wine at my place.
It sure beats a stay at the youth hostel
