my daughter moved to california a few years ago and i made the trip from texas to cali as often as i could. it became a “no big deal” to drive 1600 miles one way. i learned so much about that part of the country and i ended up moving to california. i packed a huge Uhaul with all my worldly goods, put a trailor with my car onto the back and i was off. i really couldn’t back that big truck up so i always pulled into get gas so that i could just pull right back out. driving the uhaul through the middle of L.A. was also a challenge but it made me a stronger person. i can do anything after that trip. i’ve also driven to AZ for concerts on several occasions and had a nice 2 week trip through co,ut,nv,ca,az,nm and back to texas..that was great. i now want to take a road trip heading east. if i can drive it then i don’t fly it…even though i love to fly too.
