UskaDara needs to get back on track with this whole SLEEPING thing.
It’s as furnished as it’s going to get. I give up.

Now because I didn’t want a bunch of mismatched things shoved into a room some times you just have to wait. I’ve been waiting for the perfect piece and the perfect price. Some times just because of money I won’t look at all but luckily I’ve been fortunate enough to get some NICE things. I bought a bistro table the perfect size for two (Evan and Me) but it won’t clutter the space. Also I did get that rug for the bedroom but need to assemble my bed frame before i put the rug in there. Oh my, a lot of work, but I’m almost there. I have some art work for the walls I’m in the middle of putting up, and i didn’t get a closet organizer but then realised i just needed to get rid of all the crap I wasn’t wearing :D

My apartment is a mess! eeep. But I’ll have it under control soon, and then I can enjoy it again. I’m really looking forward to that day .

Well I’ve made none. But I’ve grown to love the funky couches, even though they don’t match. I don’t need a comfy chair – that’s what the couches are for. Oh, and I don’t want a “low profile” dresser anymore – a tall one will do just fine.
SO, here’s the revised list.
Bookshelf/desk from Ikea ($130)

Bookshelf that doubles as a nightstand, from Ikea ($50)

A mirror ($30)

A dresser ($60)

Knives (I’m getting these from Ross, I just haven’t found the perfect set yet)
I used to have a bad habit in the past of not unpacking when I moved. Since I got into this apartment though I’ve been on a mission. I’ve gotten rid of every box, organized, bought furniture that actually looks good and wasn’t just convenient. I like how it’s coming together. I’m hoping to frame some of my photographs or paint some canvas for the living room. I believe all the big pieces, like my desk and couch and bed are all taken care of and look good :) I even picked up a sweet shag rug. I feel so much better coming in to a /home/ not just a space i have crammed with shit. It’s amazing what a difference this had made.
Things I need:
Closet Organizer
Artwork or mirrors for walls
shelves
rug for bedroom
a better bookcase (one that will match!)
that’s all i can think of for now. If i find anything or pick up anything cool, I’ll post it!

With my partner having moved her possessions out, my condo is quite empty. I need a new bedroom set and end tables to start. Probably some other stuff too, both to make it feel like home, and to make it remind me a bit less of her.
try to think like you already have the furniture in your place and work around them to see if the worth all the effort!!!
We wanted leather chairs but not only are they outrageously expensive but they are huge! We got two cute, cheap ones at Target.
Finally I have a place to put my tea set. I can wait to brew some orange pekoe.
we got this old couch from a friend of mine. It’s used but I don’t consider I should spend too much money in a living room while I’m renting. I think I will wait to invest in better furniture once I get my own house. And so far my cats seem to be happy and comfortable.
