find an item of clothing you would never wear out in public, then wear it out in public

new bike. also bike helmet. i amn’t stupid, i am pretty damn clumsy. but this helmet belonged to my sister when she was 12/13. i am 21!!!! hha, so if i can wear this ou in public i think i can wear anything!!

when i was 17…or maybe 18, & just about to graduate high school me & 3 friends decided to skip school for the day. so i was getting ready to “leave for school” in the morning when my sister was like … “i dare you to wear this, this & this” > things i would NEVER wear out in public! it was a combination of layers of bad, old, unstylish clothes… layers of hideous attire! LOL i went out like that the whole day & even ended up getting pulled over for speeding! the cop probably thought i was a mental case, but it was SO WORTH IT! we still dont stop laughing about it today!

gave me the opportunity to wear a half-jacket that ties at the front, so I did.

I wouldn’t normally wear it, and I wouldn’t have had the guts to do it if it weren’t for this goal. Thank you, 43Things.

i do not know if this is really great, but recently i have become much more confident about looking sh*t! i used to spend hours just making sure i looked good, but then i thought, i am only twenty, if i dnt wear what i want to now, when will i?! so yes i have been wearing things that i wouldnt normally wear, and its been fun fun fun! :)

I’ve done this several time. I wore a small womens shirt at school one time ‘cause I said I would. I’m a relatively big guy, like 175 lbs. :-P But yeah, I’ve worn several odd items of clothing in public.
