If you were there, you would know all about the socks…
And if you were the one who was surprised, you would still be wearing said socks… often mis-matching, and ALWAYS uberly colorful… and a different pair every day all month, or make that two months… lol

Threw a surprise party for my boss and accidentally let him know minutes before when I sent a mass email out to the rest of staff.

We threw one for my friend’s 16th birthday. It was a lot of fun. Her boyfriend took her to the cinema and we went to her house and decorated it. When her mum went to collect them, we spent fifteen minutes sitting by the window looking for cars. We hid about five times before they finally got there.
It was great to see how surprised she was, and everything. Gave me warm fuzzies :D
It was a good party too, though nothing special. We played kiddie games like musical statues, and so on. :)

My friends had thrown a party for me on my 30th birthday. It was so NOT what I wanted to do. :/

i’ve done this like 8 times…it’s getting to the point that if your mom/best friend takes you out on a shopping on the saturday directly preceding or, um, following your bday, you KNOW you’re having a surprise party lol..

...sneaking around in the dark, finding a hiding place, and startling your friend when you jump out at him.
