make an origami crane

doing this since I was in the 3rd grade. :) I love it. I prefer making tiny ones :D because they’re more challenging but way more adorable.

Last year I folded 1000 cranes and as the fable goes, my heart’s wish was granted. I packed my bags (my house, my husband and my dog) and made a move to NYC. Two things off my list of 43.

had my third lesson, but was even drunker than last time. Need to make one unguided. And perhaps one without the comeemt “Dogbird” attached to it

i think you can find instructions online…my suggestion is to fold everything both ways first. that is:
fold in half diagonally along the two diagonals
fold in half along the width and the height
turn it over and do these four folds again

youll find that for the first couple of steps it totally helps things fall into place. that will give you a good starting point

Got given some paper and a lesson by a friend as a birthday present after mentioning my urge to make them, but alas it was her birthday when she showed me so no-one was too sober, but I have a handy tips-card from her…

Here is my first ever origami crane!! I just did it, but I started it last night. :D It was fun! It would look nicer in proper origami paper but I think you can only get that in a smaller size than the paper I used and I found making it with big paper hard. I am so gonna make more and get better! It was quite simple to do really- sometimes it seemed to fold itself. :)

He’s a bit tall but I still love him! <3

it was okay it wasnt as cool as i thought it would be … but now i know how to do it ^_ i learned to make other stuff too which i enjoyed …
