"Challenging, but eye opening"
How I did it: Decided when to start, and then just cut meat out of my diet for a week. The weekend was more difficult, as this is when my partner and I make brunch together, and are more likely to go out to eat. There definitely were some points when I wanted meat and when I felt like meat was the only option. But, I think doing this really challenged me to look further, consider more options and widened my palate, which I'm always looking to do. I doubt I'm going to be eating as much meat as I was before this week, which is nice, as I think it'll help cut down on my caloric intake as I try to lose some weight!
Lessons & tips: Buy some meals/ingredients before you start, plan out some recipes so you know what you're going to be eating. When you're hungry, and used to eating meat products, is a bad time to be shopping for dinner.
Resources: The San Francisco Bay Area. Full of veggie-friendly restaurants, farmers markets and cool grocery stores. I think this would have been more difficult for me in other areas of the country.
