I was early and on time all last week. I slacked today getting in at 8:40 am instead of 8:30 am. But I will make a better effort tomorrow.
Changing the work habit to work earlier than work later.
Be enthusiastic for the work, rather than seeming to be unable to finish the work.
Work starts at 9am, I’ll aim for 8am.
If I come in within 15 minutes of 9:30 AM every day next week, I can buy myself two new pairs of pants.
I am having trouble accomplishing this goal. I think I know why I am not able to complete this goal. I unconsciously see more benefits from sleeping and doing my morning routine than being early for work. I timed myself and it takes me 2.5 to 3 hours to come to work. Also, when I leave and when I come home, there is hardly any traffic.
I may have said this before, but I want to do a couple of things to speed up the process.
1. Iron my clothes the night before.
2. Do my shower routine the night before.
3. Think of what benefits there are from coming in earlier.
4. Keep my cell phone in “sleep” mode until I go to work so I keep track of time.
Also, I want to modify my goal to come in at 9:30 so that the roads will be free when I am traveling.
I was at work at 11:00 today. I had a good reason, though, I had to bake cookies for the bake sale before I went to work. I completely forgot about it yesterday.
I will try harder again tomorrow.
I was in at 9:45 today for the second day in a row. It is OK, but I want to shoot more for 9:00 or even 8:45. Part of the problem is not going to sleep early enough. The previous night I had problems going to sleep. Last night I did not do my nightly routine because I was visiting my friend. I need to be more rigid with doing my nightly routine and getting into a walking routine.
I came in at 9:45 am this morning. Not bad, but not great. I got up in time. However, I did a lot of time wasters such as clean the bathroom sink, laboriously ironed clothes, and petted the cat. Overall, pretty good and I am sticking to my goal.
