scooterbird it's a jungle out there, kiddies...have a very fruitful day
I’m Co-Chair of the Green Party of the United States, and I’m always glad to talk about the party to people.
But I am.
I’ve been getting daily emails from my local green party for a couple months now. I just don’t like the attitude or tone of the whole thing. I might look into joining our local democratic party instead, or go to the Greens at a state level rather than county. The whole thing seems more like a club than a party, more about protesting and complaining than working within the system. (These comments are not about the green party as a whole, just about what I have seen in the few active memebers localy.)
I’ll continue to get the emails and such, but I’m not planning to start attending thier meetings any time soon.
I signed up on the mailing list for my local green party. I’ll see how I like the tone of the emails and the current discussions before I get the courage to attend a meeting.
I ran as a candidate in our last provincial election, and currently sit as president of the Green Party of Alberta
