travel to all 7 continents

I have been to various places in North America, including BC, Alberta, Ontario, Québec, Montana and Yellowstone National Park. A lot of these visits were family camping trips with the tent trailer- good fun! When I was 19, my Mom and I took the Greyhound across Canada to Québec City, stopping to visit family in Barrie, ON, and playing tourists in Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal and Québec City. Riding on the bus was very LONG, but seeing the vastness of Canada was quite amazing; the wheat fields of Saskatchewan, the sunflowers and lakes of Manitoba and cottage country in Ontario were all very beautiful. In 2001, I backpacked around Europe, taking buses, trains and the Chunnel. I made my way through England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy and Austria. There are still so many places I want to visit in Europe, esp. the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands. I’ve been to the Caribbean on a cruise in 2005- we stopped at Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Isla Margarita (Venezuela) and Aruba- loved it. In 2008, my friend Melissa and I did an eco-adventure tour in Costa Rica. We snorkeled and surfed, zip-lined and rainforest hiked… it was an awesome experience. My fourth continent is Australia, where I spent a year traveling around, seeing as much as I could: Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Melbourne and Wilson’s Promontory, Phillip Island, Tasmania, Great Ocean Road, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Alice Springs, Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon, Coober Pedy, Perth, Pemberton, the West Coast (my favourite!), Broome, the Bungle Bungles, Darwin and Litchfield NP and Kakadu NP, Cairns, the Whitsundays (another favourite!), the Great Barrier Reef, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Newcastle… Absolutely the best decision I have made thus far and would do it again in a heartbeat. But before I do, I need to see Asia, Africa, South America and Antarctica. So many places to see, so little time!

Okay, so I have set a goal for my next BIG trip… and that is Brazil! I’m set to get everything prepared and saved up by Feb 2010…Yes… THE CARNAVAL season!

Once I go, I can cross out South America off my 7 continents list.
