Drink better beer

Fact is, I’m just not drinking beer that much these days. If I’m drinking alcohol, it’s either wine, cider, or vodka.

I think I’ve just lost my taste for beer, regardless. I drink half of one and I’m blizted the rest of the night . . .

There is no point in saving a few pennies/cents on beer. I want to drink quality with a smile around my face.

Silly name? Yes. Ordinary beer? Yes. But you know what, it is what it says it is. And that’s a good thing.

It goes down very smooth and while “ordinary,” it definitely has more character than, say, Budweiser. And, for $3.99/six-pack (at least at Trader Joe’s in Cuyahoga County), I could definitely stock up on more of this.

The availability of great craft beer is now booming. I encourage folks to stay in touch with their favorite brewpubs, pick up and read the “brewspapers” like Celebrator, Ale Street News and the Brewing News, and definitely hook yourself at the beer site RateBeer.com. You won’t miss your local beer festivals, can see the new and top rated beers in your area and network with other beer lovers. The only thing better than great beer is great beer shared.

I’m not a “beer snob,” but I want to be. It’s sad that my palate actually enjoys the occasional Budweiser or Miller High Life. I’m not into stouts or porters, but I want to drink more imported lagers and ales and such—develop a real taste for beer.

A beer not drinken. This is a bottle of beer that has been in the Hutch. My husband got it for the Marine Corp Anniversary. I believe it has sat so long it would only be good for hair rinse if it was opened. ICK!

actually he offered first. holly wreath dark ale… local micro brew pub. what exactly is double rowed barley. is this something in the growing or the brewing process? what ever, it was tasty, but still not the elusive perfect mug.
