After about 10 years of aimlessly drifting through life I’m beginning to try to put myself together. It’s not very easy and I have many obstacles to overcome. For several years I drank too much, then for several years I smoked pot almost every day. Now that I do neither I know I have to take my health back into control. I used to run and work out all of the time because I liked it. I’d like to get up early in the morning before my family does and work out everyday. I want it to be just a normal thing. I know lots of people do this. Just get it done in the mornings and go on with my life. I have a gym membership that I don’t use too much. I want to go to the gym or sometimes work out outside. Depends how extreme the weather is that day. I think a good goal work out time is 30 minutes to 1 hour. Today I slept until 10:30 so that’s no good. I just need to set the tone for the day but getting up and getting sweaty. I’m already skinny but I’d like to tone up. It’s March right now so if I get this done I should be rockin a hot body by summer.

i praise anyone whose goal is to wake up and exercise.. it’s so hard to get out of bed to do this but it makes a big difference in how your day goes. Great way to start off your morning =)

It’s crucial to have rest days so working out EVERY morning is actually unhealthy. I’m going to change this to workout 4 to 6 times a week.

its been a year or so since i’ve been here, but i can check this off as done. i still do push ups everyday at work, before and after each break and lunch. i am up to 42 push ups, six times a day. about 250 a day. in addition, i am doing 30 mins of cardio at least 3 days a week now. and some strength training another 3 days a week, with a day of rest.

I need variety in my workouts. I think that’s one reason I stop. I tend to get into the same routines. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of exercise blogs and websites for info. There is an endless parade of information. Everyone seems to have the answer to the “perfect body.”

I’ve been on the current routine for about 3 weeks now. It’s great and I love it. Eventually I’ll have to adjust and come up with something new.

Today I worked out chest and back. Did 400 crunches. Rode the bike.

I swear I practically sleep-bicycled to the gym today. I was so tired. The workout was not that intense but I pushed through it. Worked out legs w/ an emphasis on quads and shoulders. I did the plank (4 – 1 minute sets) to work the obliques. The mid section still has a ways to go.
