Cass is planning out a schedule
It’s not fun to spend a night in the hospital.
How I did it: I had to get my appendix removed when I was 10 years old. I was pretty scared. I had to wait a really long time before they operated on me. The nurses were nice and kept asking questions. The doctor was making bad jokes. They put me to sleep and when I woke up, my appendix was out. They hooked a bunch of stuff to me and were checking on me every few hours. The next day, I choose all of the food I would eat and watched movies. My family came to visit. The last day, the doctor did a check-up and told me I could go home. My parents came for me and that was it.
Lessons & tips: If you're getting your appendix taken out, it will hurt to walk. Trust me.

Not sure why this is a goal…
I got the stomach bug REALLY bad when I was two, ended up dehydrated hooked up to IVs overnight…not a fun experience (anything I remember from when I was two was either really good or really bad) or anything I would wish on others or care to relive.
The second time I was not actually admitted, but my boyfriend had to have surgery, so I stayed overnight with him because he was lonely and in a lot of pain. That I would gladly do for him again if needed, and would definitely have marked this goal “worth doing” if that was my only experience staying overnight in the hospital.
I was gonna say that this was not worth doing, but than I thought about it… if you are sick or hurt, than it could save your life, and thus while wanting to go is not a goal, it is worth it to go, to help you get well again.
I’d choose to never be sick enough to need stay in a hospital ever again.
Quest for Folly is not an island...or a man.
I’m going to go with “worth it”, if for no other reason than it kept kept me from having to perform a “do-it-yourself” amputation of my lower right arm. The hospital definitely had a better answer and I still have both arms!
(Of slightly lesser importance, there was the time when the hospital kept my heart from stopping. But I’m not sure how I feel about that, yet.)
Also, the food really wasn’t that bad.
Like another poster says, if you get a baby out of it….
LOL I’ve had 12PGS, 9 deliveries (involving the hospital) 7 live births,
of which 6 are presently living, and only 4 @ home!
The other visits were for surgeries and other serious issues-bottom line I was grateful that they were there or…....
I didn’t like it at all felt more poorly just wanted to go home & sleep in my own bed. :-(
