I have an antique clawfoot tub but I don’t do it quite as often as I would like! Like, everyday!

I need to slow down sometimes and take my time in the afternoon instead of rushing through my shower and dinner etc because I can’t sleep at night. I feel so ancy! I can’t put myself to bed until late, so changing habits can start with a bath which feels much better than a shower anyways
I love a nice hot soak and I’m not sure why I don’t do this more often.
Worth doing!
I originally set this as a goal because the only time I seem to get to myself is when I am taking a bath, and that only works sometimes. However I have since discovered it’s the best way to end the day. I have bought several salts and oils and alternate each night. I like to do this after everyone has gone to bed and leave the water real warm. Afterwards I like a cup of tea and then it’s off to bed. In the past couple of weeks I have tried to do this nightly but things don’t always work in my favor. All the same it beats the late night sweets I used to comfort myself with before bed.
Before the birth of my kids I used to do this all the time. Now that they are older, I’m glad to be reacquainted with this old practice.
I am the Mum of 4 children and sometimes it would be nice to shut the door and have a long hot bubble bath. My idea of a great bath would be to have a good book to read, a few nibbles and a drink on hand with a few scented candles and music in the background playing. Absolute Bliss.
At hte moment, it’s a warm bath and about 5 minutes after getting in, there’s a knock on the door and a voice going “Mum, I want ….” or “Mum, where is ….” Oh well they aren’t young for long, so one day I’ll get my wish!
I love epsom salts, I prefer bath salt mixtures to bubble baths. I spent some time at the Epsom Salts Council, it is a very informative website!
Especially in these cold days. When I take a nice hot bath, I get warm all the way down the the bone, it lasts for hours. In a shower, I am warm only until I step out.
Worth doing!
just moved into a tiny house in northern new mexico that only has a clawfoot bathtub….so it’s been very easy to complete this goal. often i share the bath with my 2 yr old son, which is a good time…in a place where there’s not much to do in the evenings anyway.
Worth doing!
People really should take more baths than showers. They are really much more thorough and more effective.
Worth doing!
Since coming home from school a week and a half ago, I’ve taken 4 baths.
I don’t know if it’s just because when I was living in a dorm, a bath was something I really missed, or because I’ve been sick.
Anyway, it’s a great time to unwind and relax.
