Save Money to Buy a Car

I currently live with my brother and his girlfriend and apparently she doesn’t like me so I’m trying to move out, But first I need to buy a car. I just started a job and I currently have no bills, so everything should work out and I should be well on my way to getting a vehicle. Hopefully by Feb’09.

I’m only thirteen and one of my friends said that this is kind of a dorky thing, but i said to her “imagine how dorky YOU’LL feel the summer after junior year when you’re begging for a ride somewhere and i remind you of this moment.”

I have a 2000 model car but it’s getting old so I’m in the market for another car. I’m going to start saving now so I’ll be ready and able to buy one when my current car dies. My choices are:

Ford Mustang
Nissan Maxima
Galant

I haven’t even taken drivers ed yet, and I am trying to save for prom and a VW bug (oldschool) at the same time, cuz it would be humiliating to drive my moms volvo stationwagon from the early 80’s.

All these stupid unexpected expenses are starting to work on my nerves

What’s left of my next check is going into my bank account after I pay bills. I’m gonna try to get some extra hours sitting for a man in a nearby town so that I can get a car sooner, but I’m gonna need transportation there. A friend has been kind enough to loan me their car, but I don’t trust it on the highway. If the problems aren’t major I’ll probably get them fixed. We’ll see.

I’m going to open a savings account for just this purpose on Monday.
