Yes, going in September!
How to travel through Asia
How I did it: I joined an group organisation with 10 people around my age, unknown and just went to our destiny. Just let it come all over you.. it's not so hard to find a place to stay or to find a way to get in touch with the people or get to those special places.. asia isn't so expensive so it's easy to eat and spend money. I loved it!
Lessons & tips: don't take too much clothes, it's hot and sweaty weather.. take a hat and sunglasses and your camera!!
Resources: a travel agency an airplane

WillowM I'm missing summer already :(
...I think it’s now time to visit this wonderful Asia I have heard so much about. We wanted to go during our trip in Europe but it seemed pretty unsafe there, but I have heard from family and loads of people that when you’re there, you only see trouble if you go looking for it or are completely naive. I want to visit China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and other unknown places to discover more about the world I live in and all its possibilities.
It won’t be for quite a while yet though, since neither my boyfriend or I have nearly enough money to fund a trip away (although I know parts of Asia are ridiculously cheap!) and we have plans to get a flat and just build a little foundation in our lives to make some money, be independent and get properly on our feet. Only then will we be able to do the things we talk and dream about all the time, like travelling through Asia. Maybe in one year? We’ll see…

I’ve always wanted to see China, but since I’m going to be in a plane for years, I figured I’d see other hot spots. Hence the Thailand/Japan additions.
I realized I was being side tracked by trying to fit so much in so I decided to concentrate on China and if budget and time allows, move on to Thailand.
I bought a lonely planet with an itinerary through the typical Chinese monuments. I’m going to financially map that itinerary out and see if I can fit any other countries or areas of China into my budget.

I moved to NY six months ago, hoping to start my career in writing. I found a part time receptionist job at a great company and grew complacent. I was being hard on myself, asking myself why I hadn’t submitted a piece of work, why at the age of 25 I was a receptionist and worried that career ideas never inspired me.
Then I picked up the “4-hour Work Week” and read that life was about remaining stimulated. It reinforced what I’ve always felt, that your job does not have to be your life. That you can live your dream life now while still maintaining a source of income.
Then I started to think what would truly excite me. Traveling had always been a source of inspiration and I had always wanted to see Asia. Instead of immediately thinking of the many reasons a trek through Asia was unrealistic, I realized how unburdened I was with a full time career. As a part-time receptionist, I had the flexibility and means to make this trip come true.
My days spent waiting for the day to end have been transformed into research opportunities where I keep building my itinerary.
So the next six months will be focused on deciding where I’m going, finding the best deals and saving up money. I’m confident opportunities will present themselves that will allow me to make the best of this trip.

I’ve been to Taiwan once and Korea twice, but at different times. I’d like to bounce around Asia in a more thematic way.
I have a friend living in Singapore and, after I visit him, plan on going to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. If possible, in the same trip I’d like to hit China.
This could happen in the next 12 months.
Bert Back In Brisbane Planning For Europe, Again. Next Week.
Would love to travel to Korea, Thailand, China & Japan. See the “country-side” of these places, & meet people.
Gave my notice period, selling all my stuff, the BMW, house included and going for a long trip to write, learn and find out what comes next, I reckon the Europe days are coming to an end.
