Well, I’ve made a start…I’ve switched out all of our lights to CFL’s. I’ve lived without the AC in nearly 100 degree weather (Once it hits 100, the AC HAS to come on…at least until the sun goes down!) I’m very aware of any unnecessarily WASTED energy. All lights are off unless they NEED to be on. Appliances and charges are unplugged when not in use, etc. I don’t have a gas guzzler (just a little 4-cylinder), however, I do live 36 miles from where I work, so I feel a little guilty about that.
But, it’s a start…when I have some extra funds, it’ll be time to replace all appliances with energy-star ones (fridge is done), and getting a hybrid car. It’ll be a while until I can, but the effort is there…..
