    Keeper-at-home things done this week:
*I’ve been cleaning the kitchen atleast once (sometimes 2 or 3 times) a day
*Using the vacuum cleaner through the whole house
*Sorting through everything in my bedroom, giving things I dont want to a charity store
    *Cleaning everything in the bathroom
    *Cooking meals at nights
    *Keeping my bedroom very tidy
*Sorting out all of the clothes washing several times
I actually love being a ‘keeper at home’ :)

Trying a Housework Schedule 2 years ago

Up until now, I’ve been doing housekeeping chores as the need arose, but now I’d like to experiment with a housework schedule. Here’s the schedule I think I’ll try for awhile:

Monday – Wash and Ironing day
    Tuesday – Shopping day
    Wednesday – Mending/Sewing day
    Thursday – Visiting day
    Friday – Baking day
    Saturday – Cleaning day
Sunday – Lord’s day: Sunday supper.

Basically it’s a slight variation on the schedule our grandmothers and great-grandmothers used. I’m looking forward to seeing whether the schedule makes me more efficient.

    Fresh Motivation 2 years ago

For awhile, I was unwell, and my efforts to make our house a home waned a little. I have renewed energy now and feel inspired to take this goal up again in earnest.

This week my focus will center on my own bedroom, which got pretty disorderly during my sickness. Once I have made my room the peaceful, orderly oasis that I need it to be, I’ll extend my attention to other rooms and projects.

The desire to be a "Keeper at Home" 2 years ago

is associated with married ladies more often than unmarried ones. However, I believe it is my calling too, since I am mostly housebound due to disabilities. I live with several family members so I am in an ideal situation to serve them with joy the best I can.

Keeping my Home for the Glory of God 3 years ago

I would love to be the perfect wife and mother but alas I am me. ;-)

I wish to attain the best for my family in all that I do for them. I want them all to succeed and want them all to join their Father God in heaven-This is my number one goal.

I want to enjoy serving my family and see it as something of a mission to make them all that God has planned for them.

Cleaning my home to my husbands likes. I am naturally a slob… used to be a neat freak but since I got married have really let a lot of who I am/was GO.

Teaching my children to honour their father and their God. To teach them to memorize scripture and honour their future girl friends and WIFE. To be a steady and realiable father as well as someone who can be unpredictable at times for a fun change of pace.

Teach my children to serve others as unto the Lord. To think of others before themselves (without neglecting themselves). Not to be selfish but self-less.

Grow in the grace and admonition of the FAther God.
