go busking

I went out busking with my guitar for the first time last Wednesday (March 18). I first set up on College Street near University Avenue. I made a dollar in my first hour and chatted with a lovely lady about music. I spent my second hour in the tourist district at King and Simcoe. Two children gave me 20 cents. I had fun! My fingers are sore :-)

Me and my friend Sarah are planning to work up a buntch of songs and pratice them this winter. Then in the springtime we’re going to Nashville and do some busking on Broadway.

I have been playing and singing for so long but too shy to do it in front of proper people (not my friends) ... but when i do it will be ows!

this is probably not going to happen this summer!! :( I’m not good enough and can’t sing (well or loud enough). I WILL do this though…

after all my talk i don’t have enough songs to last an hour of busking… I gotta write down all the songs i could play and get them to a busking standard… and I’ll go out into a field and practice my loud singing! I’m not a great singer you see!!! Maybe I should just not sing… but then my list will have nothing on it except a couple of rodrigo y gabriela songs – two, that is…

I don’t like people much. It takes a lot for me to be able to do anything where I know that I will be watched. I like to test myself and put myself right on the spot, where there’s no way of backing out.

Playing the saw in front of a bunch of people would be absolutely rad! I can just imagine Saint-Saens as played on the handsaw…

depending on where you go you can make loads, too. you can also get heckled badly by chavs lol…

my friend and i said ages ago that he would play and sing and i would dance, still really want to do this!
