date someone interesting

Focusing on learning about another person is definitely worthwhile. I have met lots of interesting people and I think every guy I’ve dated has been pretty interesting in his own way.

I’ve dated a former sniper, a police officer, a college professor (I had already graduated – not from his school – and he was never MY college professor…let’s be clear on this…), a military officer, a graphic artist, an investment banker, a teacher, a CEO, a lead singer and guitarist in a band, and a rising real estate entrepreneur to name a few.

The piece to keep in mind is that everyone has the potential to be interesting if you give them a chance. It can be very misleading to judge a book by its cover – the people you least expect will surprise you. Also, meeting different people is a great way to discover new things about yourself – I’ve found interests and abilities of my own I’d never expected.

i am pretty fucking discouraged. maybe i can meet someone if/when i go to rehab. but probably not.
