My friend is going to take me out this weekend. She has a soft-top which will be good. However, I left my wet suit at my now ex-boyfriends.. who was going to teach me to surf. We only went out once. The surf was bad and I was on a short board. He didn’t feel like putting the long board together and down from his wall. He surfed a short board. So he never took me out because either the conditions weren’t right or the water was too cold to bother with taking his board down as I get cold easily. Now it’s too late :(. So while in San Diego, CA I took a surfing lesson at Pacific Beach and learned to surf. I even rode a few waves all the way to the shore. It was totally awesome, but now I just need to go surfing some more so I can “surf well”. Unfortunately Lake Erie does not provide good surfing conditions. 2 years ago

Surfing Port Aransas
Learn to surf in Texas. At Port Aransas, the water is shallow, warm and the waves are so rideable that, by the end of class, you’ll probably stand and control the board. Learn on the traditional wide longboard. Camp on the beach Friday and Saturday night and surf both days. The big tent has privacy and your own comfortable cot. The sea breeze and surf sounds guarantee a good rest. Bathrooms and showers are within walking distance. NOTE: Since the class begins Saturday morning with breakfast, arrival on Friday night between sundown and midnight is encouraged.
