pet an alpaca

I petted an Alpaca at the State Fair of Texas a few years ago. It looked so sad – very little room to move and the combination of all the animals in tight quarters was depressing and sad. I want to visit and pet an Alpaca on the Alpaca farm. Maybe volunteer for the day to help feed and take care of them.

I was returning my cable box to Cablevision in Norwalk, CT. I was leaving the building having a nice day, but slightly annoyed with the crappy customer service, when all of the sudden, my day was made.

A man was walking his two Alpacas to a trailer. Apparently, they had just finished filming a piece for News 12 about the furry animals. The alpacas were nice, friendly (seeming to smile), and very soft, exhillarating….for those of you who have never pet one, get it on your list on 43 Things!
