I love God and all of His creations. He is devine and we should remember that we are all created in His image.

    Why not? 14 months ago

As it has been said before, we often get caught up in daily pleasures and wordly possessions that God is pushed out of our lives. The day you die may be the last you live, and in that case you better break out the marshmallows. By then it’s game over and God is weary of your ungodly existence. So we need to always give glory to him, remembering who the Creator is and what he has done for us, because “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”

It’s so easy to get hung up on the day to day, that this goal is usually washed out. The fact is that this goal should be the way I view my other tasks, my commitments. How am I spending my time? What am I doing with my money? How am I raising my children? Last year when I set up this account I made some goals, and I put this goal on the top to always remind me that I have a purpose, and it’s to live each day to bring glory to God. I’m not going to lie and say I do this well, because in fact I’m horrible about this. I’m often wrapped up with my own life, that I fail to step back and see the big picture. I can see my short comings, and I’m constantly stumbling over my failures, but I’m always trying to do things for myself, not in turn looking at each of these failures as an opportunity to see God receive the glory from my failures.
This year I’m not going to make any promises which I tend to break, this year I want to change my attitude to see how God uses me as an instrument (be it for noble or humble purposes). From the last year I’ve learned a hard lesson, God will use me If I want Him to or not, it’s just a lot easier if I submit to what He’s calling me to do.

    Philippians 3 2 years ago

1Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.
12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
17Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. 18For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. 20But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

This is not a goal that I hope to complete and check of my list. I’ve put it as the first goal to help me put all my other goals into perspective.

A worthy God deserves glorification 2 years ago

The point of my life is to voluntarily give God all the glory. God is awesome and will be glorified. I was doing a study of Exodus and I found the recurring theme was that after everything God did He would say “that my name will be glorified” or something very similar. The point is that through every trial, circumstance, plague or whatever God has set himself up to be glorified. Either it will be voluntary or involuntary, but God will get the glory. He gets glory voluntarily out of the life of the believer and involuntarily from His victory over evil. Whether it is universally aknowledged on a voluntary basis or not, the fact is that there will come a time when EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue confess. I choose to give Him glory and will reap as a reward the priviledge of enjoying Him forever… pretty exciting stuff.

That’s pretty much the desire of my heart; to bring glory to God. He’s more than worthy of my everything; I give Him my all. I just want to make God… proud
