Well worth it. You must do this! I have a much greater appreciation for this great land I live in. Some of the areas, Death Valley, parts of Arizona etc. may be disconcerting at first, to the non-local, but you need to give yourself some time to linger—to take in the spirit of those places. I promise you won’t regret this drive if you set out with the intention of learning about the country and yourself. Have Fun! Make sure to fill up the tank at any chance you get, sometimes you won’t see another pump for hundreds of miles!
