I’ve been cross-training for several years. I have wanted to add jogging to my mix of exercise. Last night I got on the treadmill at the gym and started jogging. I didn’t feel like stopping at all. But I didn’t want to overdo it, so I told myself I’d stop at 15 minutes. At that point I saw that I jogged a mile without stopping.

I haven’t been working on this goal consistently, but now that my husband wants to get in shape and has started exercising he will be a big motivator. We are thinking about training for a 5K run next year. It’s exciting to have someone to work through this goal with me.

Started walk-jogging again. That is, briskly walking for the most part, but jogging as often and for as long as I can. So far my time is up to a 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. FAR from where I’d like to be…

I finally made the leap and conquered my fear of jogging on the treadmill. I can jog, so I feel I’m much closer to my goal now.

I’ve been going for three months now about 4 to 5 times a week. I’m starting to get fit enough that walking a 15 minute mile doesn’t get my heart racing anymore. I still feel like I need to get used to the treadmill because when I get off the thing, I feel off balance. I am a step closer to accomplishing this and I’d like to be able to do this within the next 6 months.

I need access to a treadmill first. The area around my house has too many hills and it’ll start getting cold outside. I have asthma, so this goal is a big deal to me. If I add nature (allergens) and cold to the mix of trying to jog a mile without stopping, it’s a recipie for disaster. I need to do this on a treadmill.
