How to read the hitchikers guide to the galaxy
It made me 
"Great book by a great author."
How I did it: Sat down, and read the whole series! Had some time off, and started reading. Don't watch the tv series or the movie before reading it, at least not right before, otherwise you will spoil the magic of reading and imagining it yourself.
Lessons & tips: Keep reading, and enjoy the book. If you don't enjoy it, then perhaps find something else that you would prefer to read.

I felt that the books got progressively less good, with hitchiker’s guide being the best and so long and thanks for all the fish being the worst, but overall, they were good fun to read.

All of these books are wonderful. Read them all-but if you can one read one the first is definantly the best. Way better then the movie they made, although that was alright.

Lol. Seems to be more people who’ve read it than want to.
I read the ‘trilogy’ just before the movie came out. Definently better than the movie, so darn funny.

Absolutely a must. Anyone who’s laughed once at any Britsh humor must read these books. Last Chance to See is a must read, too. Ask your bookstore to order it.

I’ve read all 5 in the (‘increasingly badly named’) hitchiker trilogy, plus the meaning of liff, the deeper meaning of liff, dirk gently and the salmon of doubt. the only douglas adams book left that I know of (other than the original hitchiker radio series scripts) is last chance to see.
