the three pounds that took me forever to keep off. :]
157 went by. so did 156 and 155.
i’m at 154 now and eating healthy and walking everywhere.
doesn’t help that there’s soda in the house now __
this would be much easier without the can of sprite i just drank.
bah humbug!
i’ll stop with the soda… after the next one. :]

How I did it: Read, read, read! The internet is full of information! Check out health sites, low-fat cooking sites, and others to learn a thing or two that you may not know! (Also, check out the label on that can in your hand in the supermarket.) How I did it: I joined Weight Watchers and followed the program. It works when you do it right. Accountability is crucial, and attending the meetings. I've tried doing it on my own, but it doesn't work as well. Meetings, meetings, meetings. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Ok, this may not be for everyone, but I used a meal replacement system - The Cambridge Diet. With loads of weight to lose, losing a pound or so a week just didn't provide enough motivation, so I took th drastic option and I've dropped 25 pounds in 5 weeks. I'm still on the diet and looking to lose around 30 pounds more. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I limited myself to 1500 calories a day spread over three meals at specific times and drinking 64 oz of water a day. I eat two granola bars and an apple for breakfast, a reasonable lunch, and a simple dinner of mostly chicken breast with a serving of rice & beans.Saturday was my cheat day, so I ate whatever I wanted, as long as it was still in correct portion. After a while, I found that the only food worth eating was food that tasted good. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Losing weight is something you really have to put a lot of time and effort into if you wanna do it safely. I think the major thing for me was that I got a gym membership and started going at least 2 or 3 times a week. I also started biking and watching what I eat. I mean, I didn't go on some crazy diet or anything. I just made a point of reading labels, watching my portion sizes, cutting down on snacks, and stuff like that. I also started… Read how I did it…

pumpkinpatch5708 is soooo busy between work and school and holiday crap. Gettin it!
i am officially getting serious about this. (well, more serious than i was before)
i’m not going to go all psycho and starve myself and work out nonstop. i just don’t have the time. (or devotion? hahah)
buttt, as of 5 seconds ago, i weigh 190. 2 weeks ago i was 200, and all i have changed is cutting out some junk food, drinking more water and less iced tea, and trying not to eat before bedtime (sometimes that’s when i get to have dinner because of my work schedule).
so here is what i promise to do:
1. i will not be lazy. if i need something from outside or downstairs, i will get it now. not wait until later when i need something else. so what if i take 2 or 3 trips? (or 10) more activity. great.
2. i will start walking around the block more often. i’ll aim for daily, but weather and darkness will affect me. (especaiily since i will be taking my daughter with me)
3. at dinner time, which is really the only meal i sit down and enjoyably eat, i will wait 15 minutes before i eat any second servings. it takes your body that long to realize that it’s full. so hopefully after 15 minutes, i won’t even want more!
and that’s all i will promise to do. (bc i hate breaking promises, hahaha)
yeah, a pound a day. but i’ve lost this same three pounds a few times, let’s see if i keep it off now that i’m motivated. and it’s at night, so naturally that’s even a few pounds heavier than i’ll be tomorrow at 10 am. hahah. anyway.
mortonstoe is trying to get a Thing achieved this weekend AGAIN.
about 215 or 216 depending on food and water and all that, 214 sometimes. 10 pounds to go until I enter another loss bracket and things get interesting.
Btw, I started at 260 this year, and slacked off for months in the spring. My heaviest ever was 285 years ago. Let me tell you something:
You can do this.
i’m 160, 5’6. i’m hoping to get down to 135 or 130. i wear a size 11 in jeans and a medium or large top, depending on the style. i want to get to that weight so i can feel comfortable in my own skin. i’ve tried thinking that i’m comfortable now, but i’m really not. so, i’m cutting down calories, eating small meals throughout the day, and i hope to lose this 25-30 pounds by the new year, or by january 15th if i’m not quite there yet. cheers!
Its pretty funny to read all of my old entries, because I have consistently been trying to lose the same 20-30 pounds for the past 4 or so years. “I KNOW I CAN DO THIS” yaaaa theres definitely a difference between can and WILL.
So I go to college soon, like 10 months or so. Itd be awesome if I could be in really good shape, at my goal weight 127(yes I know its just a number, but its a number that means a lot to me psychologically). Then, if I gained 5 pounds due to college escapades, that would probably be okay with me as long as I never got back within 15 pounds of where I am now at 152ish.
See, I carry my weight really well. It must be my bones to an extent because I really am not fat at all. I wear a size 27 jeans and can squeeze into some size 4 dresses (my boobs are usually the only issue). I’d like to look like jessica alba does in into the blue, through running and pilates (i know i am capable of it I just have to put in the effort).
Once I start running again regularly (and I have even found a workout buddy to run with me), I should be able to lose about 5-7 pounds a month depending on how well I eat. Since winter formal is at the end of january, itd be lovely if I could have lost almost 15 pounds by then. It is doable, I just have to keep myself busy so that I don’t snack too much, and work out regularly.
The last 10 pounds will be much, much harder, and depending on how I look/feel after I’ve lost 15, I’ll decide how much more I want to lose. I want to feel small and girly for once in my life. I’m okay with my height and occasionally size, but I really want to be smaller so that when I go to college to reinvent my life, I can even look like a different person. Wish me luck xoxo

I really want to get back down to my pre-baby weight. Everyone says I look great and don’t need to lose weight because I carry it so well… blah blah blah. I’m not happy with myself and want to get healthier and stay more active to keep up with my 1 1/2 yr old!!
mortonstoe is trying to get a Thing achieved this weekend AGAIN.
Been eating well, but kind of fasting at school since I don’t bring snacks anymore. I eat right after, however.
So, I’m at 217-218, chillin out, perhaps another plateau. Might be changing shape. I think I will break 200 in order to get where I wish.
Nothing really exciting, but I thought I should share.
So things haven’t happened as quickly as I would have wished for. I have managed to lose approximately 6 lbs…still have a way to go…lol. But I did buy a treadmill about a month ago and try to use it daily…so hopefully this goal will be achieved in a few months :)
sierrak Sun-shiney fall weather...just gorgeous!
I really want to get serious with this again. Today I weighed myself again, am 15 pounds down from last year’s starting weight.
My plan is to make some real eating changes. I am quite concerned if I am prescribed any long-term cancer medications that they are going to make me gain weight again. I am very determined to not let this happen. In fact, I still want to lose 25 MORE pounds from where I am now…..but I will be happy with ten more, say by the end of the year? We will see what I can do.
I feel like I need something to focus on that is concrete and that I can control (at least somewhat).
