ExACTly.This happens to me way too often. When you think of something really funny, or an amazing comeback…only when the appropriate time to say it has already passed.I’m not sure how to accomplish this, but oh how I idolize the quick thinkers.
How to think on my feet better
How I did it: I used to get very flustered when something unexpected would happen or was said. I would stammer and not have the appropriate response.

so you know when you have an argument with someone? and ten minutes later you think of something really clever to say?
welcome to my life!
whenever a teacher asks me anything in class i always say something retarded, so people probably think im mad stupid. But i get good grades, so i really need to learn to think on my feet better because its rather embarrassing!
I can express myself pretty well on paper and computer, but when it comes to conversations, I freak out a bit, and sound like someone completely different. The same thign goes (to a lesser extent) with thinking on my feet. I think it has to do with social anxiety. urggh!
