When I started reading Ch. 3 I figured out that I really need the CD that accompanies the hard copy of the book. As luck would have it, they do not carry the physical version of the book in my library. Shux! I am not deterred but I sure wish I had that CD!
Oh and btw, I “borrowed” a brand new Hohner Marine Band Special 20 from a friend who’s never gonna use it, she had a stack of harps in every key for a class that she dropped. 1 week ago

It is difficult to really determine how I will measure when I have truly learned how to play the harmonica. I took private lessons religiously for 6 months. I have mastered all of the basic techniques and many of the intermediate ones. I can play numerous folk tunes and several famous solos, including “Piano Man.” I also can play the blues, which I believe is an essential harmonica skill. I am not necessarily ready to play gigs for money but I can play, so I think that I have acheived this goal. Yeah! 5 months ago

A few years ago I got quite keen to learn the harmonica (I think it had a lot to do with the smallness of the instrument, since I play the trombone I envy musicians with small instruments), so I bought a small cheap harmonica, got a few DVDs … and did nothing. I practiced for maybe two months, but then I got so caught up in life, I let it go. Soon after I got interested, my Grandmother gave me her harmonica, which was given to her by her own father in her 20’s. Her father also played the harmonica (and pretty well, from what I’ve been told), so I think it may be in my blood! The harmonica has 4 chromatic octaves and is from Germany, and I really want to be able to play it, for my Grandma. Wish me luck!! 5 months ago

...That I am doing nothing to complete! I think it has to do with the fact that the harmonica I own is longer than regular harmonicas, and most tutorials out there are for regular ones. 5 months ago
