be successful in my new job

I got one paper rejected; there is no chance to do the norm this year. i will have to explain it to the boss.
things are moving much slower than i was used to and this takes away my enthusiasm. i am not even sure anymore if i am suited for the kind of work that is expected from me. time is clicking fast, but i do not seem to see any great results behind me but scraps.

I still have to fulfil publication norms to be appropriately assessed as successful, but offer for official function I consider as a good sign of my adaptation in a new place.

I’m starting next week on thursday…well, I hope everything will go well. On one side, I’m curious and happy that I will learn some new things again and meet interesting people and on the other I’m starting to be nevous…
