Rejected Again 13 months ago

I was rejected yesterday. Somehow I relieved. Sometimes one does neccessarly want something…you may just want it because you can’t have it. Move pride aside and one may find that there is no hurt or great loss.

People think that I am pretty cool. But for some reason when I meet people I unconsciously think that they won’t like me.

Two Types 14 months ago

I was recently rejected this past week. I am now seeing rejection in two categories:

1. Essential to Survival—rejection from potential job etc
2. Nonessential to Survival—rejection from a date, friend, family member etc

I have come to handle (2), (1) will be harder

Quote 17 months ago

It is not rejection itself that people fear, it is the possible consequences of rejection. Preparing to accept those consequences and viewing rejection as a learning experience that will bring you closer to success, will not only help you to conquer the fear of rejection, but help you to appreciate rejection itself.

Get Over It Day... 2 years ago

Rejection is a bitch, but it’s a fact of life. We have all been rejected at one point or another. So, I heard on the radio about this new holiday called “Get Over It Day” on March 9th.
It is for people who need to get over anything…anything at all. Check out the site: www.getoveritday.com

I have been rejected a lot, I mean I am a friggin’ Wookie!!! What the hell to you expect So I am over it and I am having a good time on March 9th!!!

I’ve learned that rejection is not the worst thing in life. Just because someone decides not to like me or be my friend or go out with me, does not mean that I am horrible or ugly or whatever.

We cannot expect to be everyone’s cup of tea. That’s silly and unrealistic. You just aren’t going to click with some people, just like some people don’t click with you. Fact of life, best not to get hung up on it.

Fear is totally internal 3 years ago

Ok, so sometimes you look like an idiot when you put it all on the line and don’t care if you get rejected! I spent years trying to please, and once I stopped trying to please, and stopped being afraid of being rejected – the most amazing thing happened…. people started seeking my approval, and were concerned that I would reject them. Bizarre, but true. Goodluck!

Yesterday I... 4 years ago

sent out an email to a cycling group asking if anyone wanted to go for a long ride on Labor Day weekend.

This is a big thing for me, because I don’t like to make plans and then get disappointed. The reason I usually end up disappointed is that I usually wait until the last minute- because I’m afraid people won’t want to do it. Vicious cycle alert!

I know that if I don’t make a plan for that weekend and I do nothing I will be unhappy, so I put the feelers out for folks to join me and have some fun. We’ll see how it works out.
