get new sandals

After 2 years I managed to buy the sandals that I really wanted. I’ve just ordered a pair of Keen Newports in Lunar Rock. They are being shipped out right away and I will have them well in advance of summer!

I keep hearing about negative heel sandals and I’m beginning to want a pair. If the advertising is true, they should be good for posture and core strength. Too bad the pair I found was over $100!

It must be time to shed my rubberband-bound shoes for something a little more whole. :-)

Year #2 that I am going to have to give up on this goal! Life just does not want me to have new sandals. Next year this will be a must since I don’t think the old ones can last a third year!!

It was insane how bad the selection was this year for the Men’s sandals. My instance of a back strap left me with two options, plastic & nylon sports sandals or Milano Birkenstocks that I ended up going with.

It’s like the world does not want me to buy new sandals. Every time I get the money together something happens that requires I give it up for some emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is so hard for a guy to find a good pair of sandals that are practical to wear daily without causing issues. I have 3 simple requirements: no straps that go between your toes, made of leather (or at least the straps) and have a back strap that is preferable loose enough that you can easily slip them off without having to bend down to unbuckle them. The last time I went sandal shopping it took over a week and visiting 5 different stores to find a suitable pair, lets hope it will be easier this time. To bad my feet are too large to be able to shop in the women’s section as it would be easier to find a not too girlie looking women’s pair that fit my needs …

I’m trying this goal again. Maybe this summer I will be able to get my sandals. I have $40.32 in my savings right now. I figure if I put a small amount in from each check I’ll save up in no time!

Well- I was saving up for my new sandals and I was only about $20 short….Then we kind of came up short for the month and I used the money for groceries. Oh well-Maybe next summer. Sigh.

I want a pair of Keen sandals soooo bad I can taste it! I will have a pair before summer is over.
