Hmmmm… time for some maths
I really can’t function on less than 10 hours sleep. Subtract 10 hours from 6:30 and I have to be in bed and asleep by 8:30pm. This seems utterly impractical.
So how about I try to survive on 9.5 hours sleep and don’t get up quite so early. 9:45pm bedtime (most nights) and get up at 7:15.
This is optimal, but to be more realistic – to start with I’ll say 10pm and 7:30am. Aiming for 9:45pm bedtime (most nights) and get up at 7:15 ultimately.
After a few months of this if I find I can cope on 9 hours sleep all well and good, but life suggests I can’t.
So I’m changing this goal. 6:30 am seems great but I fear I’m not biologically capable.

I used to hate waking up early but recently I began to really enjoy the mornings. Once your body gets used to waking up early then its really easy to do… just make sure you go to bed earlier so that you get enough sleep. It’s all about readjusting your schedule. It’s definately worth doing though… you’ll feel much better throughout the day and it’s also really peaceful during the morning when hardly anyone else is awake.

Moving this to my alias. Long story! Think this goal might be a repeat. Anyway I haven’t really given up, just that Wanderer1 or 2 is trying it! :-D

I’m definitely NOT a morning bird and getting up before 8 am is very difficult for me. I like to stay up late and read…then ideally I sleep in until 9 or 10 am. My job, however, doesn’t allow this. My work starts at 8 am, and I have a min. 30 min commute from my home. All in all, I need to be up by 6:30 at the lastest—this is a “get up and go” type of morning. 6 am would be even better, but I can’t see that happening for a while. Is it possible for a night owl to change into a morning bird? I hope so…
