bike across the golden gate bridge

My friend Jessica convinced me riding a bike across the Golden Gate would be a good idea. We began at Pier 39, rode into Sausalito, took the ferry back to the Ferry Building, and rode back up the Embarcadero to Pier 39 to return my bike at the rental booth. I suggest you begin early in the day so you can take your time up the steep hills, and really get to stroll Sausalito. The views you’ll get of the city while on this ride are one of a kind, and must be experienced. Plus, you’ll feel SO good about yourself once you’re done. Biking the bridge is no easy task. BRING LOTS OF WATER!

We biked 21 miles from Fisherman’s Wharf to Tiburon, had dinner, and ferried back to San Francisco with fireworks blazing. Some of the hills got a little tiring (especially with the serious bikers whizzing past you) but completely and totally worth it.
