Yesterday I had my 26th birthday party and it was a Mad Hatter Tea Party! Today is actually my birthday but who wants to have a party on a Monday? It was just me, my mom, my sis and some of my very best girlfriends. We had tea, cookies, cupcakes, and tea sandwiches. The table was decorated with all the spare tea pots and cups me and my mom own. We played the Disney movie Alice in Wonderland on the tv and did an Alice in Wonderland trivia game. We also found these adorable cupcakes made out of plaster of paris and we painted them while we drank tea and talked. It was a blast and I had such a awesome time :)
The picture was taken right before the party started so the table scape was still perfect!

Mad Tea Time!
I have been uber obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and this sounds so fantastic! I might wait until June and do this for my 26th Birthday or maybe one weekend I will have all the girls over and have a mini Mad Tea Party!

I’ve had tea parties before, in which we watched Alice in Wonderland. But I really want to have one outside on the campus lawn and have lots of extra tea cups so people can join.
I know I will need:
teacups from the thrift store
tea
teapots
sugarcubes
honey
blankets
crazy outfits
My boyfriend will be required to wear his tophat, unless I’ve cut my mohawk by then, and then I will steal it and wear it myself because then I look like baby new year. Hehe.

A friend of mine always used to have Mad Tea Parties. I keep meaning to have dinner parties, but this would be more fun and easier! And more creative.

I’m thinking I’m going to grab some friends and dress up like lunatics, and then set up a tea party down at the harbor? Or maybe in front of Washington Monument? I think striped socks are in order. And lots of alcohol.
