(Gonna have to ask Mom.) All I remember is laying underneath a small 5’x7’ trailer across the road from school, watching the kids running around for recess; I think I thought, “yes, enjoy it for now, but in 20-minutes you’ll be inside, bored out of your skull, & I’ll be here – not being bored!”
Honestly, I don’t know what I did with my mind (or stomach – maybe I had a bag-lunch) all day!
I thought I’d gotten away with it, but then Mom came home & asked me ‘what I’d done in school today.’ I fumbled for an answer & blurped-out that we did some things to get ready for Christmas!
