I found a nice course (book + CD) in the library. Today I tried playing a bit again, for the first time in … ages. Way too long. This is just the coolest instrument – you can take it and play everywhere, it sounds great, is fun to play, and it’s even very affordable. It would be sooo cool to be able to play the blues on it. Oh it would suit me so well. No, it will!

i got six harps but no talent. But i keep playing nevertheless, effortlessly making new foes out of old friends. till date, i have just about cracked the opening bars of paul butterfield’s “work song” and “got my mojo working”. byt this year end, though i want to add at least six more blues tunes to my meager repertoire. wish me luck

...and there seem to be a lot of people who think “effort = soul”. In order to play the blues harp well you have to realise what a limited range it has, and develop a style of your own.
And you can only develop style through constant, extensive practice. I just got a Hohner XB40, which is a harp-player’s dream, but you have to have the jaw muscles for it! PAAAARP!

I bought myself a harmonica today and started to try out. Now I’m looking for tabs and stuff in the internet… Oh, that’s fun =)
