Not the most taxing thing ever, but just what you need after a hard day.

Good Reads 10 months ago

Been reading lots this summer and plan to continue. Rather then write about them in 2 places, I will track what I’ve read at Good Reads.

A simple story of a boy and the joy and wonder of following your dreams. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to find their Own Personal Legend.

Follow-up to the Last Lecture... 11 months ago

I’ve heard that Randy lost his battle with cancer today. Its a sad day. I’m glad that he had the time to leave his message to his children. In some way I feel that his kids will know him better then some of us know our own fathers who are still with us. If you have not read the book or heard his Last Lecture it is well worth the time. In the end Randy, you were a outstanding teacher that reminded many of us what life is all about… Rest in Peace.

The Last Lecture 12 months ago

A short story but well worth the read. It reminds you what life is all about. Without telling too much a family man and teacher deals with his terminal cancer and gives us lessons on how we should all live life.

“We cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.” -Randy Pausch

Before I mark this entry as complete, I’d like to point out that since becoming a librarian, I read all the time! I may not finish a long book in two weeks but I’m always reading something. Usually I’m reading many things at once!
