Remain close to my children

I’m counting this as done. We have dinner as a family 5 nights a week. We do things as a family. I do things with them individually.

My children are grown now (29 and 25)and we remain very close. I make point of contacting them at least once a week and we often get together for family gatherings. Make the effort it is well worth it!

snow days are so much fun!

It helps that I’m close to my mom now—also my brother and sister. I think I have a good relationship with my dad, stepmom, and little sister too. More than me remaining close to my kids, I hope my kids remain close to each other. I don’t want to hold them back at all…because of my needs. My need to be loved. I want for them to experience life to the fullest and I know it’s going to be hard to let go when the time comes. It depressed me when school started this fall because I missed them so much, and I look forward to when they come home from school and are home for the weekends. Yes, I want to remain close to my children. yes yes yes

This week we all went to the shore for a lunch cruise on the Nautica Queen. All had a blast!

My daughter is only 18 months but I have had such a tumultuous with my mother, one of my biggest fears is that my daughter won’t know me or even WANT to know me when she is older.

I don’t live with my kids but we are still close and the time we spend together is quality. Just requires effort.

I am blessed with four unique souls the Creator has lent to me as my children. Through raising them, I have learned sooo much and become a better, more tolerant and patient person. The most important lesson I have learned is how little I really know and understand in the natural and spiritual world.

I even had the pleasure of homeschooling each of them at one time or other. Learning together with family is so basic. Is not the family the first and most important teacher?

These four souls have made the biggest impact on me as a person. They awakened in me an awareness of both the incredible opportunities and the challenging limitations of my own humanity, and that of others.

I enjoy four unique relationships with four very distinctive and impressive people I call my sons and daughter. I hope to remain close with them beyond forever.
