How to take horse riding lessons

How I did it: I took horse riding lessons when I was younger and it was so much fun. I loved trotting around on the horse with the wind blowing. It makes you feel so free, kind of like you're flying. Also, being on such a powerful animal reminds you how small you are, and forces you to put your trust in an animal, and to respect one another...which is waaaaayyyy cool :) Lessons & tips: Be very calm because if you're not confident riding them, the horse can sense it and will either misbehave, or become very skittish. How I did it: I found out that two of my friends were also interested in going, but neither of them wanted to go on their own so we arranged to go together to our local Equestrian Centre. We took weekly lessons and shared lifts so we were less likely to miss a week. this could be worth it if you’re planning on taking up serious horse riding, or have your own horse. This is not like learning how to drive a car since a horse definately has a mind of it’s own.
