jamelle is settin' it up to knock it down!
Well, I set up shop. That is never the hard part. I’ve been taking apart all the jewelry I’ve made over the years so I can salvage my beads and findings. I want to get all my supplies ready and take inventory. Also, I’m trying to figure out how to make a photo studio.
And as always, I’m searching for inspiration.

I have a ton of made items just waiting for homes. Now that I have the time to pursue it, I would love to see if it’s marketable.

Not only will this help since we are really super broke almost all the time now, but it should help my self-esteem. I would like to make at least one item a week until I have 10 or so then take nice pictures and officially open shop. I’ve already made a shop banner, filled out the profile and all that happy stuff.
You can see my (empty for now) shop here:

Above is an example of a dishcloth, spiral scrubber and dish sponge set I made for Jason’s mom. I think sets like those would sell well.

I opened my Etsy Store! Check it out at www.thelaserbeam.etsy.com! I’ve listed some MYO cards (Make Your Own). I sell all the parts and pieces to make the cards, the recipient just has to provide their own glue to assemble the cards.
I’m selling sets of 2 for $5 and sets of 8 for $20 (I don’t have any 8s listed yet, though). That’s only $2.50/card, and they’re really neat-o cards (at least I think) with lots of ribbon, buttons, laser-cuts, glitter, etc.
I’m also going to try to sell my Card Party concept. It’s a home-based party for 5 people. It’s $100 for 50 cards (that’s only $2/card—very well worth it); 10 cards each for 5 people. Again, the glue IS NOT included. My suggestion is to invite four friends over, and have THEM bring their own glue with them. Anyway, I’ll also suggest drinks and light snacks for 30 minutes beforehand, and then 1-1/2 – 2 hours of cardmaking afterwards. None of the cards are hard to make, it just depends on people’s skill levels since some people haven’t used a glue stick since kidegarten.
Anyway, the photo shows two of the baby cards that I’ve listed. Cute, huh?

I am going to sell pure essential oils and face/hair care products made by a friend of mine. She has been making her own products for years (we sell them at our local Co-op). I have wanted to do this for ages.
So far: I signed up.
Next: I need to call her and place my first order of products to sell
After that: Make labels, list products and have fun!!
yay!!
