Hero has started childcare! Which means I’ll definitely have the time to work on my degree this coming semester/year. Yesss.
How to get a degree/ finish my degree
How I did it: i did studies at college that lead me onto uni. i did the usual things like doing a personal statement and getting references. i got in and about to start my second year. yey. my first year could have gone better. i intend to do better in my 2nd year and put more effort in

For the forms- I will ask Callum to ask his sister for a passport photo today? Or Ricky?
Um, the childcare centre is closed at the moment and I can’t turn in my son’s enrollment forms- I don’t know whether I’m too late.
I’m a little worried.
Callum says he can watch after the baby while I am doing classes and homework and it is fine. This is reassuring but I’m reluctant to put my faith in it because last semester we had a system like this and it was very hard to get any real time to study and I failed my classes.
Forms are done, save the bit where I describe Hero’s playing habits (roll around, smile, crumple things, frown?) and the bit where I put the details of the other people who are allowed to pick him up (still have to speak with either Flip or Ricky).
So. Done with this until after Christmas.
1. I have pretty much my whole degree(s) to go.
2. In order to go to uni I need to put Hero (my son) in childcare. Today I will find and fill out the relevant forms and also harass my boyfriend and sister about getting me passport-sized pictures for these forms.
I recently discovered something that I should have realised a while ago – I don’t actually enjoyacademic study – but the tragic truth is that I’m good at it. I don’t enjoy studying, reading all those academic articles and journals etc and the only thing stopping me from dropping out and pursuing something a bit more vocational is that I’ve invested almost £9,000 in it already. That and the terrible thought that one day I may wake up and regret not reaching my potential. So hopefully adding this to my list will keep me focused on achieving it and coming out the otherside with letters after my name.
