Lived in Buffalo most of my life, but recently moved to New Hampshire and realized that the wings just aren’t the same outside of Western New York.
My favorite place was always Fred’s Pizza in Pendleton. Very hole-in-the-wall, but very good.

lovewestny is cultivating an ascetic aesthetic.
Duff’s or Anchor Bar for the best wings in Buffalo.
Might I recommend you try Bob and John’s on Hertel Ave. For wings you have to be in the right mood, a combination of tired and decadent. Usually people order a pizza and wings which comes with an order of blue cheese dressing(not RANCH for God’s sake!) and some carrots and celery. And no, the vegetables are not just garnish. You eat them to cut the fat and ease your guilt. Both the wings and pizza crust are dunked in the dressing for added gooey-goodness, something I never thought I’d do before I became a local. Drown it all down with a 6-pack of Labatt’s or Molsen’s and promise yourself you’ll go on a diet on the first of the month.
this picture is from the anchor bar…we orderd 50 wings, and after we were done, i got bored..
I live in Buffalo and still haven’t had buffalo wings in Buffalo. My old high School basketball team use to go down to the anchor Bar and have hundreds of wings. The birth place of the buffalo wing.
We used to drive down from Ontario, but now the border guards aren’t so nice to those going for wings for the night. But still, check out Honey’s, great wings!!
