Not quite.... 18 months ago

Well, I didn’t get to meet him on Friday. But I was sitting within 20ft of him during his performance. Which, btw, was incredible! He’s kinda sexy in ‘blokey-ware’...

My comedic idol 18 months ago

I might get to complete this goal tomorrow night. I will be at his Cincinnati show. I want him to sign my monkey.

he is amazing! i love him! he has the best humor, no one can match him. I really want him to do a live gig in london which under 18’s can go to. He hasnt done anything in a while but if he did a gig i would be there. Even if i had to lie about my age :)
i’m not a big stand up kind of person cos a lot of them are sleezy and crude but eddie is just fantastic! Noel Fielding is the only other one that i think is really good! i like that dry and pointful humor!! :) one day i will meet them!!

I love Eddie! 3 years ago

I met him at a backstage door. We had actually been watching a play with Ewan McGregor and Eddie was in the audience. I’ve seen him a few times live and I just love him and his humour! My friend spotted him, screamed ‘oh Eddie, will you have a photo with my friend?’ So I have a photo of me and Eddie, I’m grinning from ear to ear whilst he looks slightly bemused!!

Shouldn’t you be chasing Ewan? he asked!

Meeting Eddie would be the first sip out of a lovely glass of champagne, but getting to know him would be the entire cellar of the finest vintage there is to have.

I am just fascinated by him. And he’s hilarious. Simply hilarious. No one else believes me.

The two hour drive to Boston was totally worth it. 3 years ago

I met him a few years at a DVD signing- he was every bit as witty, charming and amazing during the question and answer session as he is on stage. He signed way more random stuff then was supposed to be allowed, chatted with everyone (even if they cut the line) and definitely gave my mom some flirtacious eyes. It was great fun, definitely try to see him if he’s ever near you!

a very funny man 3 years ago

my sister and i met him in london several years ago. he was starring in a play there, ‘a day in the death of joe egg.’ one other girl went around to the back of the theatre with us after the show, but that was it, just the three of us. leave it to the americans to be the stalkers!
when he did come out (with victoria hamilton, who was also in the play) he was very gracious and signed things and posed for photos. i told him, ‘i love everything you do, in a totally non-frightening way!’ and he said, ‘now that’s frightening!’ overall, he was really nice (as well as funny). i completely recommend waiting after one of his shows to meet him. he’s worth it!

I met him in 1993 4 years ago

I was working with the Vancouver International Comedy Festival in 1993 and Eddie was one of the guests. I had no idea who he was but I met him in the office (I came in to find him loitering around my desk) and decided to see his show. I’ve been a fan ever since.

He's brilliant! 4 years ago

Eddie did a personal appearanve at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Blvd. last year to promote the release of his DVDs in the US. He was very gracious and, as always, completely hysterical. He also has been doing lots of club dates in town; if you ever hear of tickets going on sale, jump on that fast. His shows generally sell-out within the first half-hour of the tickets going on sale. If you get to see him live, wait around after the show. I’ve heard he has a tendancy to come out when he’s done and chat with whoever sticks around.
